Study led by Lynk Solutec researchers, published in a peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 8.2
SHIELD-C cap demonstrated optical transmittance above 90% and separately verified suppression of blood and mucus adhesion

SEOUL, South Korea, June 10, 2026 — Lynk Solutec, a South Korean medical device company, announced that a paper on its endoscopic visualization technology was published on June 10, 2026, in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, a peer-reviewed journal with an impact factor of 8.2.
The paper, titled “Disposable Endoscope Cap Maintaining Clear Surgical Visualization under Fogging and Fouling,” lists Kayoung Son, a former researcher at Lynk Solutec, as first author, with co-CEOs Yeontaek Lee and Jungmok Seo among the co-authors. Clinical advisors, including Dr. Seung-No Hong of Seoul National University Hospital and Dr. Seung Hoon Lee of Korea University Ansan Hospital, also contributed as co-authors.
The study presents SHIELD-C, a single-use, snap-on endoscope cap developed by Lynk Solutec, built on a bilayer structure combining a covalently bonded PDMS brush base layer with a silicone oil top layer. The cap maintained optical transmittance above 90% across the visible range. Separately, it demonstrated effective suppression of blood and mucus adhesion on its surface. During surgery, its surface function can be restored immediately through simple lubricant replenishment, allowing visualization to be maintained without interrupting the surgical workflow. Durability and optical stability were also validated across a range of conditions, including ex vivo surgical models.
“This publication confirms that the core technology behind our endoscope products has been validated at an international academic level,” said Yeontaek Lee, CEO of Lynk Solutec. “Having confirmed its effectiveness in real surgical settings through collaboration with our clinical advisors, we will apply these findings directly to product advancement and market expansion.”
Lynk Solutec continues to pursue clinical and academic validation both domestically and internationally, centered on its endoscope product line (C.E.V., Clean View), as it advances into global markets.
